Creative Healing is a Teen Support Center focused on high-risk teens.

With locations in Flourtown and Wayne, PA, we offer individual and group therapy
for teen self-expression, support and skill-building.
We provide LGBTQ+ and Neurodivergent-affirming care through the lens of
lived experience and evidence-based practices.

Why do hundreds of teens thrive in our programs?

It comes down to…

AUTHENTICITY

Our mission is to create a space where teens don’t feel wrong, bad, weird, or different for their emotions or life circumstances.

We treat teens like regular people in a way most other people don’t. In turn, they feel like they can be real with us. That freedom to express themselves helps them see that they don’t have to struggle alone anymore.

EFFECTIVENESS

Most teen therapy involves coming in, complaining about your parents, the therapist saying “that sucks…” every week, for the rest of high school — Not here.

Our intention is that your teen is NOT in therapy forever.

We use highly-effective strategies and evidence-based tools to shorten the path to happiness and healthy behaviors.

EMPOWERMENT

We help teenagers advocate for themselves, and we provide parents the life-changing tools that no one ever taught them. (Ones that last a lifetime!)

Once you’ve learned these skills, your teen can start to make positive behavioral changes that are reinforced at home.

When the whole system works together, you get lasting results. And you get your kid back.

It takes a village to raise a teen.

Our team of adolescent mental health specialists is fully dedicated to the unique needs of teens. We combine evidence-based treatments with creative, experiential therapies to help them navigate challenges, reduce suffering, and build a life that feels fulfilling and aligned with their true potential

How It Works

Even if your teen has been in and out of therapy or hospitalized before, rest assured that our
signature treatment process is unlike anything you’ve tried so far.

Let’s walk through it!

We’ve Got You!

We appreciate your trust and commitment in this process.

Many families have been to 6-10 different therapists or faced a revolving door of hospitalizations before they find us.

We understand exactly how frustrating and scary it can be to let yourself hope again for a brighter future for your teen.

Don’t worry – we’ll hold the hope for you until you start to see the changes for yourself.

Meet Our Founder

Hi! I’m Katie K. May (she/her), LPC, DBT-LBC, and owner and Executive Director of Creative Healing Teen Support Centers.

As a teen, I numbed the feelings I had inside with self-harmdrug useshopliftingsneaking out– anything to extinguish the pain I felt every day.

An unexpected pregnancy in my 20s finally brought my pain into perspective…
It began my journey to break a generational cycle of hurt and fight my way back to a life I could fully embrace as my own.

And in the process? I found my LIFE'S CALLING.

My mission is to help your teen know they aren't weird, bad, wrong, or different for feeling the way they do.

My dream is to provide MORE parents and teenagers with the support, community, and understanding I so desperately needed as a teen

Over my past 10+ years as a licensed therapist and a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification Clinician™, I've helped thousands of teens cope with their emotions and understand their feelings of depression, anxiety, and self-harm.

That’s why I’m so dedicated to helping teens like yours. (I even wrote a about it!)
